Thank you Bruz, it was a funny process. I kept thinking I wanted the image to be about more than just a dress. When I was done editing I took a step back and asked myself "What just happened?" hehehe ;)

It took me about 8 hours of editing! Since then I have gotten better and faster, but since this one was the first one, it is the one the took the longest!

Superb work, you must have been strongly influenced by Christian Schloe's work 'Amor' as it's a great replica of the dress.

Hi there! I absolutely love this photo! I was just wondering how you did this? Im a photo student and I'm looking to do a photo in this style and I was wondering how you did it and if you had any tips?

CasaBay_Photo

Hi! this is image was a lot of fun to do, but it took many hours. My number one tip is to keep track of your layers because you will have many and it makes a huge difference knowing where each layer is. Also, have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish before starting because not knowing can sometimes be the reason you waste hours and hours! Be careful with your colors and don't be afraid of playing with textures!

Great effect...I use an action called Sandstorm sometimes...see my profile where I did a couple... but this one has that one topped. Is the edit all manual? Have you created an action for this effect?

CasaBay_Photo
April 18, 2017
Hi Ken :) Yes, all the edit is manual. There is no action for this effect :( I don't think i would even know where to start if I wanted to create one! I am one of those people that fund photoshop relaxing so I don't mind the 8 hours it sometimes takes to create these images ;)
