This looks like Yukon Island, did you take it on a boat tour in Homer Alaska per chance? I love it, Whale...er, well done. :)

Behind The Lens
Location
This image was taken in Southeast Alaska near Juneau. I was out with a friend on his boat and this whale breeched multiple times and the pod it was with was bubble net feeding.Time
The picture was taken at mid day under somewhat cloudy skies.Lighting
Lighting is always difficult with whales because you never know when and where they will breech. Because light was subdued by partial Cloudy skies the light settings were more consistent.Equipment
I shot this image with a D800E, and my 300mm f2.8 VRII Lens hand held.Inspiration
I’m always inspired by the beauty of nature and photograph wildlife whenever I can.Editing
I post process in LR and usually only add light adjustments, some cropping. In my camera bag
My bag is heavy and I usually always have my 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 105 and on wildlife days, my 300mm.Feedback
If you want to achieve shots like this practice and get your ISO, and exposure settings down before you attempt! Good luck!
