These are two photos. The first one is of me. I'm downstairs, fooling around, getting to know this camera that I got for my birthday. I instantly loved the name Rebel because It means to me that when I shoot pictures I can be a little rebel and pretend that I'm fantastic photographer. The second one is taken in our yard of our flowering crabapple tree.Time
The first one is taken during middle of the day. My boys in school and my husband away. The second one is also taken some time in the day.Lighting
I don't have much natural light downstairs in my home so the light you see in my eye is the camera flash. The picture of the flowers are taken in full sunshine.Equipment
My camera: Canon Eos Rebel T2i. No tripod nothing else.Inspiration
The options on the camera inspired me. There is this "portrait" and "flower" options (and more) on the dial and I'm always trying things out.Editing
I love to do post processing. I think I change 98%of my photos. Crop, blend, soften, you name it and I'll try it. My favorite app on my iPad is called PhotoWizard and there I blended the photos together and then I used another app called Noir and there I made it blue and white and adjusted the light. I have this photo in many variations. In my camera bag
In my simple camera bag you don't find much. There I keep my Rebel, my lens cleaning fluid and dust brush. Little transfer cube to transfer my photos to my iPad, my camera booklet bible and two ribbons I got from my camera club. One "first place" ( for beginner) and one "honorable mention" ( for beginner) I keep these ribbons in there as my cheerleaders.Feedback
Well, there isn't any great trick to this. I think I've already said what is to be said. It's so simple. I'm not a professional or technical photographer. I'm a total amateur. I love looking at all the amazing photos on ViewBug I can never capture myself. But that's o.k. Instead I do it my way, with no traditions, rules or money or tripods and see what I can come up with. So I just pass on the only advice I was given just keep on taking pictures every day and if you want to learn to blend two photos together, get the PhotoWizard app. It's easy and if you need help they have great costumer service. Thank you for loving my photo.
