One of my doctors recommended I do more walking as a way to work out without destroying my body for days afterward. So I decided that if I was going to walk, I'd walk in the nearby woods. Not only would it be a prettier, more peaceful walk (and a chance to connect with nature, which is always good for the soul) but I could work in location scouting at the same time! And it was one of those walks when Geoff and I stepped out into a meadow I frequently shoot in and just stopped dead in my tracks. The meadow seemed to be covered with snow, and every flower, plant and piece of grass was covered with snow. Which I knew it couldn't possibly be in Los Angeles in May, and as I finally walked closer I saw that it was the trees that were covered with a fine, downy, dandelion-like puffs which had blown all over everything.
Geoff and I went to get some breakfast after the walk was over and I quite ignored him for a long time while I frantically texted my models, seeing who could get there quickest so we could capture the magic, since I had no idea how long it would last. Luckily Dedeker Winston was free a few days later! We went back a little after sunrise and shot our little hearts out.

Clearly this belongs in DreamWorld . I like to think that there's a corner of DreamWorld where the trees grow fleecy snow all the time, and summer never touches.

I will not even try to hide the fact that I stole the title from Ray Bradbury's short story All Summer In A Day. It's included in my very favorite sci fi short story collection Tomorrow's Children, by Issac Asimov.

There are some more snow tree shots coming, so I'm saving that blog post for when they're all up, but for now you can read about what I call the <b&bt;Walter White Effect<-b&bt; :)

By the way, if anyone knows what kind of trees these are, please let me know! I've been trying to figure it out ever since I first saw them, with no luck.
