This is a small antelope with a slightly hunched back, and very short straight and conically shaped horns (males only). White hairs in a background coat of rich rufous brown give the grysbok its characteristic grizzled appearance. Underparts and inside of legs white. It has a very small tail. They are nocturnal browsers and spend the day in the protective cover of tall grass or shrubs. They are also extremely timid and will run away at the first sign of anything unusual. This was, therefore, a very lucky daylight shot.

Great shot! I thought he was a Steenbok, I don't know this one! You were incredibly lucky. You have more great leopard shots. Well done!

absolutely beautiful and your description is wonderful. when I first saw this I instantly wondered how the mother would pass this through in birth with the horns or is this a grown adult and they do not have the horns when born. Please forgive my question. And you captured the eyes with eyelashes perfectly...excellent..Cheryl
