Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken in jigokudani valley monkey park in yamanouchi, Japan

Time

I believe it was taken around 3pm nice winters day (snowing)

Lighting

Was middle of winter over cast but things worked out well...f1.2 cam in handy

Equipment

Had a canon 7d at the time with my 50mm 1.2 also had a 70-200mm f4 with me

Inspiration

Saw a lot of these photos tv and Internet liked the idea of the macaques sitting in a onsen whilst it's snowing outside

Editing

Yes I have..can't remember too much as it was 3 years ago but I'm sure I would of bumped the clarity up..played with the shadows can't remember too much sorry

In my camera bag

At the time canon 7d also 50mm 1.2 amazing lens would recommend to all...and a 70-200mm f4 didn't have a flash or tripod back then..

Feedback

I am no great photographer but check your photos as you go an make adjustments and check as conditions change don't be afraid of trying something deferent..if you know what you are goin to take photos of think about settings and angles prior to getting there..hindsight is great with photos should of done this should of tried that...but you learn a lot for the next time your out with ya camera...and always ask others what they or how they would do it...
