Location
This photo was taken at McArthur- Burney Falls in CaliforniaTime
The photo was taken around 6:30pmLighting
That day was dark. It was raining when I took the photo, it helped me in a way because I had an ND filter but it was not that good for a long exposure. So the clouds helped me with the necessary light without over exposing the photo.Equipment
My camera was a Canon T3i and I used a 28-80mm Tamron lens. I used a tripod and an ND filter. I stacked An ND 2 and an ND 4 filters togetherInspiration
We were on a road trip around California that included Nevada and Oregon. We were looking for nice places to visit and take photos. We found the location in the map and headed there. I love landscape photographyEditing
I was starting photography at that time and I used Lightroon to edit the photo. I didn't process to much. I converted the photo to Black and White because I wanted to emphasize the long exposure in the water. In my camera bag
Right now I always carry my 24-70mm 2.8, my 100mm Macro lens and my 17-40mm wide-angle. I use a Canon 5D Mark 3 right now, also I have my tripod, my shutter release and my ND filters. I always travel with those.Feedback
If you want to capture that type of photo remember to always use an ND filter and a tripod. Also to consider is that if you're using a lens that has image stabilization, turn it off. That will help you with the vibration when the camera is in a tripod. Use a shutter relewse, if you don't have one put the camera on a 2 second timer. For last I will say. Shoot as much as you can with different shutter speed so you can have different photos to choose that later you can stack together if you need to.
