This photo was taken whilst out walking the Dog up at Waddesdon Manor. I had to use training treats to get her to sit still.Time
The photo was taken around mid afternoon on a rare sunny day in the English summertime.Lighting
I wanted the natural summer light to show the beautiful colour of the Dog and to hopefully capture her natural green eyes before they turn brown as she grows older.Equipment
Dog treats and patience.Inspiration
Having had dogs in the past and never really capturing portrait shots whilst in their puppy phase I felt it important to try to capture Henna as a pup :)Editing
I used iPhoto on the Mac to highlight the colours of the Dog and bring out the green of her eyes.In my camera bag
I normally have one of two cameras on me (apart from my iPhone) a Canon 7D or 600D. Usuall lens attachment is an 18-55 with a 70-300 zoom lens on standby. I usually have a couple of olloclip lenses in my pocket for use with my phone.Feedback
Patience and a multi shot camera. Puppies are quite active and I deleted a lot of shots where she moved at exactly the wrong time.
