Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while I was in Washington D.C. on vacation with the family. While there we went to basically all of the monuments. It took a while to get up the stairs in order to capture this photo. Since everyone probably has a "Standard" Lincoln Statue photo, I knew that I wanted to jazz up the photo a bit so I looked until I found this angle and it made the picture a little bit more of my style, unique.

Time

It was a hot, humid, day in D.C. It took a lot of water to get myself up the stairs that afternoon around 12. I did it though and captured this picture and I am so glad I did!

Lighting

It was actually quite dark in the memorial, but I made it work for my purposes.

Equipment

I actually just used a Canon power shot camera.

Inspiration

Since I really like to capture my memories when I go places and since this is one of the places I went, I captured the moment. However, I don't like having boring pictures so I always change up the angle.

Editing

No, this an all natural photo.

In my camera bag

I usually have my digital camera and that is it. Nothing fancy.

Feedback

I would say that anyone trying to "liven" up their pictures a little bit should try different angles for their photos and different settings. Also, if you want to add effects or just some cool editing, there are a ton of free apps that allow you to do so on apple products.
