I took the photo in my gardenTime
The photo was taken in the early afternoon on a cold winters day in England. It had been raining in the morning hence the rain drops on the leafLighting
It was cloudy when I took the photo so there wasn't any direct sunlight. But there was still sufficient light to see the water drop reflections.Equipment
Lumix G1 and a 14mm-45mm Lumix lensInspiration
I had wanted to do a water drops series for a long time, I was very lucky to be outside when I notice the colour of the leaf and the water drops on top of the leaf.Editing
I first took the photo into iPhoto were i played around with lighting and colour contrast settings. When I was happy I decided to take the picture into photoshop CS6 where I used a number of different tools to find the image that I was looking for.In my camera bag
When I'm travelling around i will alway have my trusty Lumix G1 with the 14mm-45mm lens on it. In my bag I will also have my 45mm-200mm and my 100mm-300mm lens's. I will have some filters and one of my tripods.Feedback
When trying to capture your perfect photo try to think of a specific series that you want to try and capture, this photo is from my water drops series. Once you have found a series then start taking pictures, I found in my experience that I improved on each specific series. Don't worry if your picture aren't what you were looking for because you can still upload them to view bug and get professional feedback from other amazing photographers.
