it was late afternoon, just as the sun was starting to set

Lighting

I played around with different locations in my yard before deciding on this final spot. I preferred the effect on the picture.

Inspiration

I always am drawn to rich colour photos and as much as I do not like what comes after fall, my favorite time of year to take pictures is the fall. I have always had a hard time with the colour red until a fellow Viewbug member helped me understand a bit more about my camera....Newbie I am but I love taking pictures and getting help and getting better is so wonderful, so with new found knowledge I finally gave the idea I have had a try. I do have about 20 different versions of the apple.....I was so excited I could not stop at one

No post processing.

Sony A57 and now my new Sony A77, lensbaby, 2 prime lens, a fish eye and two other different focal length lens...a mono stick, tripod, several macro lens and an underwater camera

Feedback

I have so many ideas I just keep trying. Sometimes the first idea looks better in your mind then it does in real life but just keep trying. Stay true to you. Take pictures of what you love, edit them so you like them, ask for help if you are stumped and most importantly for me love what you are taking pictures of. The rest will come naturally whether you are self taught or been taking them for years.
