The matching blue color of her beautiful eyes and head piece really adds more awesomeness to an already wonderful picture. Beautiful work!

For me eyes like this are the best. They stand on their own and make their own impact. Unaided.
Most of the eyes in the contest, to me, are HEAVILY surrounded by TOO MUCH makeup, and its the surroundings that are attracting the attention, not so much the eyes. You avoided this. Beautiful shot of beautiful eyes!

Location
In a lovely wooded area frequented by dog walkers and horseback riders.Time
Late afternoonLighting
Thankfully it was a cloudy afternoon, late Autumn. Most of the leaves had already fallen so we were trying to pick up the greens in the conifers in the blurred background. With the leaves already on the ground - the daylight was ample but soft.Equipment
Nikon D800E, 70-200mm, F4Inspiration
I love shooting outside - at the right time of day and/or conditions, it can be so forgiving!Editing
I shot in RAW and used Lightroom to edit. I tend to gravitate towards more blacks in my photos - I just love the richness of the tone.In my camera bag
70-200mm, 85mm. I also brought along a reflector. Extra batteries and memory cards!Feedback
I really enjoy working outside - you can move around, different areas, pick up colours in the background for a totally different look and feel each time. Moving about is also less inhibiting for both myself and the subject I am working with. It's both invigorating and relaxing shooting outside - always something to see or experience together.
