At the time of taking the picture, it was already autumn in South Africa. Because of the cooler weather there was a lot of mist rising from the water creating the beautiful golden light with the rising sun shining through and reflecting from the water.Equipment

It was just one of those stunning sunrises that I couldn't resist. Also I am a sucker for reflections on water so the combination was irresistible.Editing
Not much. I do very little post processing. Just ran it through a basic LR preset when importing the photo from the camera.In my camera bag

Be on site before sunrise. Be aware of where the sun will be rising in order to best compose your picture using the sun, its reflection on the water. Use other landscape features to frame and compose. For me using the reflection between the reeds in the foreground worked well.
