Nice capture. I like the deep colors and the cant of the photograph. There is even a face in the first tree on the right near the top.

Ominous...yet, somehow optimistic...there's a light at the end of this dark path.

I am glad you see the same thing I saw:) I love to see contrasts in nature that can be translated into what you just described

Haunting, beautiful. Love the photo! It reminds me of Halloween and the story of Sleepy Hallow and the Headless Horseman.

Thank you Alicia and glad you like it. It was taken in Helsingborg,Sweden up by a place called Pålsjö castle

Location
This was taken in my hometown of Helsingborg in Sweden. There is a little castle with a garden and this gorgeous "tunel" is a part of that.Time
I got up on a weekend morning as it was a beautiful day for photography, I decided to have a walk in the forest and this place is always on my mind for interesting shots.Lighting
This place is difficult in regards to light as it is very dark due to all the trees but very light at the end of the tunnel. I thought the idea of a mysterious and haunting tunnel ending in very bright light as an exit could be an ideaEquipment
I had just owned my camera for some months and this was very much in the beginning so I went with the kit lens 18-55 IS II that came with the Canon 600d. I had to use a tripod due to the very dark lightning conditions as I wanted focus all the way til the end of the imageInspiration
I love just walking around and see photos develop in front of your eyes. You are in your own world and you look at things in a very different way. My biggest goal is to try and create emotion when looking at a photo of mine which is usually much easier when you have people in the shots so its challenging with only nature. The immediate thought here though was a haunted forest with a bright exit at the end. Trying to give a very strong feeling of autumn to it as well.Editing
I dont really think to much about what I do and dont do in post processing, for me its all about trying all type of things until your eyes tell you that it is just the way you like it. I did ad some leaves at the bottom on the path as there was a small area where people had walked too much. Then incresing the haunted feeling with a stronger contrast to the trees and the color of the leaves. I was considering to perhaps just complete over expose the exit of the tunnel at the end to create an even stronger feeling of that bright light exitIn my camera bag
Still with my Canon 600d...Cant wait until I have the chance to upgrade to full format and most probably the Canon 6d but not yet...Forced myself to only work with Prime Lenses so I really get to create the shots with my own eyes. Been doing almost all my latest shots with the prime 50mm 1.4 but cant wait until I can get my hands on the Sigma 35mm 1.4.......Feedback
Im all about immersion...Immerse yourself in photography in every possible way. Try to think differently when out walking, break habits and patterns, when at events look at where all the photographers stand and position yourself the absolute opposite, feel your photos, snap away, try different settings, trust your instincts and in my opinion one of the most underestimated things CROPPING, it can make such a difference to any one of your photos as it can change the entire dynamic of the shot.
