Congrats on winning my challenge. I totally love this photo Isn’t it amazing how one click of the shutter can capture so much. Well done. 👍🏻😊

Location
I took the photo at a local event that included some light carnival rides.Time
As I recall I took the shot in the late-afternoon, trying to get some side shadows.Lighting
I was fortunate to get some variation in lighting, some nice shadows, with the help of the clouds.Equipment
Canon 7D with a Canon 300mm IS lens.Inspiration
There was quite a bit of color in the carnival rides, and the little girl was clearly having a blast, and the Mom as well. There's nothing better than capturing the joy of life as it unfolds.Editing
Some dodging and burning, and a little shadow and highlight adjustment. Not much at all.In my camera bag
My Canon 7D body, a macro lens, a wide angle lens, several prime lenses, a 300mm lens, a kit lens, my travel tripod, spare memory cards, a battery charger, remote shutter control, rotating camera strap, card reader, Canon strobe.Feedback
At Carnival events always keep your camera ready, use a long lens with fast shutter speeds, set for cloudy exposure to improve color pop, stay focused on eyes as much as possible, include surrounding for a sense environment, shoot in high speed mode, and always always always make sure to post-produce for the best final image possible.
