This Photo was taken back in 2011. I think this was my first of 3 rides on the Sanibel Thriller. This is a Cigar type boat that tour's around Sanibel Island in Florida in search of Dolphins to follow the boat. A must do if you are in the area.Time
Tough to remember back, but I think early afternoon. This is a 2 hour boat ride, so they only go out a couple times a day.Lighting
Just all natural.Equipment
I believe I still had my Canon 40D back then with a 70-300 lens.Inspiration
I love wildlife photography and this was a once in a lifetime shot. Just got really lucky, but you have to go to get the opportunity.Editing
Yes I did some post processing in Lightroom. I was just getting into Lightroom at the time and not sure what I was doing and just tried to make it look the best I could. Looking back on it now I could get rid of the shinny spot on the Dolphins head.In my camera bag
I now carry a Canon 7D Mark ii a Sigma 120-400mm f4.5-5.6, a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8, and a Tamron 18-270mm f3.5-6.3 but looking forward to upgrading to the new Canon 100-400mm ii.Feedback
Now that I know a little more about what I am doing I would of set my WB for one, then just shoot as fast as you can!
