This image just had to be black and white, colour would not have the same emotion to it. Very nice work indeed.

Has this been taken underwater? It gives me that sense of a deep ocean tragedy, while still being beautiful and calm. An amazing piece of creativity and photography. You make a great team ;)

Did he go down with the ship ? Realistic , artistic , with a stubborn hold on an age of simple wonders with put , put sounds . Wonderous !

Now this is something you don't see every day. Great idea in the first place and an excellent shot of it. Superb.

Intriguing shot, I'd love to know how this was accomplished. I would not hesitate to hang this on the wall. Well Done!

Location
The photo was taken of the coast of Isla Mujeres (near Cancun) on a Dive trip to MUSA, the underwater museum/artificial reef.Time
The photo was taken mid morning. It was the second dive of the day.Lighting
Lighting is always challenging when you are shooting underwater. The deeper you go the darker it gets. You also loose red light and everything begins to look more green and blue. I bring down two underwater strobes in order to reintroduce light.Equipment
This photo was takes the Panasonic LX-7 in an Ikelite underwater housing. I also bring down 2 strobes made by Sea and Sea.Inspiration
Well I did some research on the location and new about the different art installation at MUSA. I new I wanted to photograph this specific piece.Editing
All my underwater photography is post processed in light room and this photo, I also did some touch up work on the background with Photoshop CC. This was originally a color photo, but I felt making it a black and white gave it the look I wanted. In my camera bag
This all depends on where I am and what I'm photographing. For underwater photography I have my Panasonic LX-7 with Ikelite housing. My two Sea and Sea ys-d1 strobes and my Iron wide angle wet lens are also with me. I'm currently planning on upgrading my system and moving towards using my newly purchased Nikon d500. I'm really excited about this new camera.Feedback
The most important part of shooting underwater is becoming a good scuba diver first. You have to have excellent buoyancy control in order to get any shot. Also know your equipment because you will have to be using it under unique conditions.
