Preparing for Winter. (Harlequin Ladybird).

As the Autumn days get shorter and the nights colder, this `Harlequin Ladybird` (or Ladybug) prepares for Winter refuge amongst the woodland shrubbery.
Although it may look like any other ladybird it has a darker side to it than many would realise. Originating from Asia it has now made its way across the UK, USA, & Europe after first being introduced as a natural pest control for crops by man. But this could well turn out a big mistake as it has now been found to be `Cannibalistic` and will devour the larva of native species (those not being `Harlequin Ladybirds`) which could in time lead to the disappearance of many of those countries native Ladybirds.
