Location
This image was taken at a Chianti vineyard whilst I was on a Tuscany, Florence Walkabout Tour. The tour included lunch and wine tasting at an organic family run wine estate. Needless to say the photograph was taken before the wine tasting commenced. It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine but there were also some cumulus clouds in the sky which cast light and shade and enhanced an already wonderful patterned landscape. The original image was cropped to emphasise the light on the landscape.Time
It was around 12 noon.Lighting

I used a Nikon D7000 and the kit lenses 18 - 105mmInspiration
My eye was drawn to the wonderful light on the patterned fieldsEditing
The original image was cropped to emphasise the light on the landscape and the exposure was enhanced. When this image was taken, I was new to photography and if I was taking this shot I would have used different settings, a tripod and framed the image better to avoid having to crop it.In my camera bag

Select a narrow aperture of around f/16 - f/22 to get maximum depth of field. Focus one third into the scene to achience a sharp image. Ensure you include something of foreground interest and something to lead your eye into the distance. My image was taken around noon, probably the worst time of day for good light. I was fortunate that the light was enhanced by the cloud formation. Early morning and late evening provides the best light as the sun is lower in the sky and casts lovely shadows and patterns on the landscape and makes everything look more three dimensional.
