The photo was taken 18.mai 2013 at Westford’s of Iceland , from the endless of winter to the midnight summer sun , you will enjoy it all in the Westford’s ,simply the most beautiful part of Iceland. Me and few landscape photographers from Iceland went this weekend for capturing this wonderful part of Iceland.Time
We did wake up early this morning because in may you can still expect lot of snow here in Iceland. It took us about one hour driving for our camp and then 1,5 hours walk to this location. This picture was taken 14:31 in fantastic conditions.Lighting
I had a beautiful light there but it can change easily , so you have to be very well prepared before you go out photographing, because it can change from good light into snowstorm within few minutes. My target was to find the perfect harmony between the big rocks and sea as well to add some movement in the sky.Equipment
This image was shot on Canon EOS 5D Mark II , with an 17-40mm f/4 L USM lens. I used a tripod as always for long exposure and shutter realise. LEE Big Stopper and 0,6 Neutral Density Hard Grad was used as well.Inspiration
Of cause I was looking for some place where you can find easily and extremely beautiful. I had good friends with me on this trip and they already knew this “hiding” place. But of cause what is most interesting about this picture is that it is not very easy to get there …and I took lot of other pictures there and I have to say that this is most fantastic place I ever been to.Editing
Usually I do as little as I can , normally I use Lightroom and that’s it. I don’t know how to work with PS , but one day I will give a try.In my camera bag
In my bag today is Canon EOS 5D Mark II body and Fujifilm X100s And for lenses Canon 17-40mm , old Canon 80-200mm witch I love , Samyang 14mm for the Northern lights and shutter realise. Canon 35mm , Canon 85mm ,Canon 24-70mm and Canon 50mm as well…lot of batteries and head lightFeedback
What is most important for me is that I am always well prepared ! sometimes when the weather is not good for photographing I go out and note down and find new places. Of cause you should be patience and ready for the right time to shoot. Use your “dead “time to walk around and find new spots and take few test shots. Try to connect with mother nature and use it in your pictures ;-)
