I was taking photos at a fashion show in Finland when a designer came to me and asked if I was interested to shoot her clothing line outside in the urban environment when the runway event ended.Time
This photo was taken right after the runway show around 6 PM.Lighting
It was overcast so the sun was diffused nicely by nature - no other lighting tools were used.Equipment
Shot was taken handheld with a Canon 60D + Samyang 35mm 1.5 lens.Inspiration
This was spontanious - so no planning or inspiration was gathered prior the shoot.Editing
Skintones were left natural - the urban environment had a variety of colors but I toned them down towards cool green/blue, the lipstick and nail colors were emphasized and I added a slight lens flare to the bright top corner.In my camera bag

I like documentary style photography - we just let the models run the stairs up and down and I tried to keep up with them while taking photos of them. The designer gave the models roles to play and this shot was taken when they were listening the designer before starting their run. No posing instructions - just document the subject in their environment and you get the most natural expressions. It is your job as a photographer to find the right time, direction and angle to shoot.
