If this was an honorable mention I can't even imagine what the winners looked like. This is amazing!! Not to mention very cool :-). Sure wouldn't want to get any of my fingers near that hungry little mouth.

Location
This photo was taken at my sister in laws in Port Perry Ontario. These little friends were in a tree along the side of her house.Time
It was early afternoon on a perfectly sunny day.Lighting
I was just lucky that the nest was in clear view and well lit.Equipment
I took this photo with a Canon rebel T3 and sigma 18-200mm 5.6 lens. I didn't want to get too close and disturb the birds so was glad I had the zoom.Inspiration
I could hear them chirping every time we walked by the tree and eventually my curiosity got the better of me. I started talking to them and taking their picture and they loved the sound of the camera. Everything just worked out perfectlyEditing
Not really. Just a slight improvement in contrast to give the photo a little more depthIn my camera bag
I have upgraded my camera to a Canon 7dMarkii. I mostly use my sigma 18-200mm 5.6 lens, but also have a Canon 10-22mm in my bag for those wide angle needs. I carry a speedlight 430 flash, extra battery, charger, lens hood, extension tubes and cable release, as well as memory cards everywhere I goFeedback
It was pure luck. Right place, right time and cooperative little subjects
