A quick what candid shot of part of my camp while guiding clients in the Nevada desert. The light in the center, and the ground lighting is a client walking through the shot with a headlamp on. I try to not light paint in shots unless I have to as its hard to get controlled and good looking results on a lot of subjects. Shot is pretty much unedited or processed- though I would have had I though anyone was paying attention here, haha.

Very cool and creative. I'm thinking the light-line in the center was you lighting up the car and the ground. A tip for next time: if you turn your back to the camera and hold the light in front of you, the light trail won't show up but the ground will still be illuminated. Either way, amazing shot and congrats on being featured.

Thanks all. This is just a quick whatever candid shot that I didn't even edit. Thanks for the advice though. The light in the center, and the ground lighting is a client walking through the shot with a headlamp on.

Personally, I think the light trails from the client adds interest...it caused me to look longer, and not miss any info you might have added. I do wish the exposure was included...I have never attempted such a shot, but am guessing it couldn't have been a very long exposure, or there would have been longer star trails?

The sky is awesome mate, but also love how well lit the tent and truck is considering you haven't painted with light.

those are the good days.. always funny when someone walkes through the shot and you almost get mad but after all it turned out kind of all right :) .. keep it up.
