Location
"Thin air" was taken after a long night vigil at Opatowice Island in Wroclaw, Poland. That was one of the most beautiful and blissful dawns ever.Time
It's one of my favourite locations in Wroclaw. I've been shooting there for decades and simply love my alone night/dawn vigils there. It was taken few minutes before sunrise at 14/11/2009.Lighting
The story about Thin air is the beauty of nature - i know it's reached my heart, because there's always a light even in thin air like that.Equipment
It was taken with Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III with 24-70 2.8 L lens on Manfrotto tripod. Lee polariser and 0.6 soft ND grad did the rest. Warter was so slow that day, so I decided to set 2 sec exposure with f/16, ISO 100.Inspiration
We often forget how beautiful it is around us so through my photography I just give shapes and colours to my impressions and feelings. Our life is just a book of frames and shots, isn't it?Editing
It was taken as a RAW file and edited in Capture One Pro - then sensor cleaning and framing in Photoshop. In my camera bag
My favourite set for now is Phaseone 645DF+ medium format camera, 65P+ digital back, 35mm Mamiya lens, 80mm Shneider lens and Lee 1.2, 0.9, 0.3 Grads, big, small stopper ND and polarizer. Tripod is always a must.Feedback
Get up early (at night), be prepared, fully equipped, night vigil in your location, set yourself, click & click, look for better location & click :)
