I took this on the outskirts of Oxnard overlooking the strawberry fields that are throughout Ventura County.Time
This was in the evening between 6 and 7 pm.Lighting
The sun was low in the sky giving the the clouds their color.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7000 hand held with no flash or tripod.Inspiration
It was getting near sunset and I wanted to get a picture. I usually head to the harbor to get sunset pictures but wanted something different. I headed in another direction until I saw the strawberry fields not far from my house. With the clouds in the back ground I thought that this might be what I was looking for.Editing
In aperture I toned down the highlights and brightened the shadows. One thing I wished I had done but didn't was crop out the bottom part of the picture to remove the part before the rows of strawberries.In my camera bag
I have 4 different bags depending on what I am shooting. I have a backpack that carries 2 cameras and 5 lenses with flashes and accessories. A smaller bag that carries my camera and 3 lenses; 18-105 zoom, 70-300 zoom and a 105 macro. My other 2 bags hold tripods, lightstands, monopods, lightboxes, umbrellas, reflectors and other accessories.Feedback
To capture something similar I would make one suggestion. Carry your camera with you always and keep your eyes open for a possible photo op. They are everywhere if you carry your camera and keep an eye open.
