Location
I rode ski lift to the top of First Mountain from Grindelwald. The mountain was complete covered by a cloud. I decided to hike further up the mountain with hope that the cloud would break. Suddenly there was a break in the clouds in the direction of the Eiger and I managed to get this image.Time
This was mid morning.Lighting
There was nothing special about the lighting. Just existing light.Equipment
Photo was taken with a Nikon D800 using a 24 to 70 mm lensInspiration
I liked the way the clouds opened up and revealed the mountain in the background and the hikers in the foregroundEditing
Photo was taken RAW and some minor adjustments were made in photoshop. In my camera bag
I carry the D800, 24-70, 14-24 and a 300 mm Nikon lens. Also carry a tripod, variable neutral density filter, polarizer and flash.Feedback
You just have to be there and be ready for whatever happens. The more time you spend out there, the more often the great images will present themselves. This particular image only was around for about 30 seconds, so it is important to be ready.
