Nikon D90 and a borrowed 500 mm lens. No tripod, or flash.Inspiration
I love foals, and really wanted to take shots of them as they were sleeping, or laying down. I loved this little guys coloring, and long lashes, and caught him just before he opened up his eyes fully.Editing
I did not do much post processing, other then clone out some blemishes on his nose, and increase the vibrancy a little...In my camera bag
My Nikon D90, and 18-105 mm lens, and my Nikon D7000 with a 70-200 mm lens. A flash, rain cover, extra batteries, and memory cards...Feedback
Get low!!! I must have sat there in a squatting position for what felt like forever, until he raised his head a little to get this shot. Also, be very still as they can be skittish. I didn't want to have to get up on him to get my shot so I borrowed a friends 500 mm... this meant that I would not have to get too close which would have spooked him, and probably his mom too!
