Location
Brisbane botanical gardens at Mt CoothaTime
Mid afternoon just before a rain stormLighting
Afternoon sun, a little cloudy still enough light to shoot at a low isoEquipment
Trusty Nikon d80, Tamron 11-16 3 shot bracket handheld, merged and tone mapped just a littleInspiration
Botanical gardens are an awesome place to visit, plenty of flora and fawna, i shot about 150 frames that day before the skies opened up and it pored with rain.Editing
3 shot bracket, merged and mapped in photomatrix, just a little you cant overdoo these things. I think HDR in moderation can better represent what we can actually see, just dont over do it !!In my camera bag
These days i carry my nikon d610 nikkor 24mm f.2.8, nikkor 50mm f1.8, sigma 18-30mm f3.5, i have another dozen lenses that make appearences from time to time but my trusty 24mm f2.8 is my go to lens. Cheap chinese flash, and tripod when required, also an assortment of triggers, brackets etcFeedback
Steady hand, and a high enough iso so your shooting at a reasonable speed. Dont overcook the HDR.
