Great POV!!

Behind The Lens

Location
The picture is of the Hancock building on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
Time
It was taken late morning... 11:00AM
Lighting
It was a partly overcast day which worked well for me. I didn't have to concern myself with harsh shadows & a bright sky.
Equipment
I used my Fuji X-S1. That's it.
Inspiration
I've always liked the Hancock. The overcast made the decision easy. The only thing I had to do was find the right angle I was pursuing. In this case it necessitated lying down flat on my back.
Editing
Just a little bit. Increased contrast... slight decrease in exposure... reduced image "noise"... and a slight amount of cropping. I also played with filters to extract some of the texture in the metal.
In my camera bag
I carry my long zoom Fuji X-S1, a tripod, ND filter, a polarizing filter & remote shutter release.
Feedback
Always try to create drama. Look at different angles(point of view) & don't be afraid of contrast. I like dramatic skies & try to take advantage of interesting skies when possible.
