This thunderstorm, was building over the Front Range in Colorado. This photo was taken from Pena Blvd by the Denver Airport looking west. The height of the Mountain Peaks in the Front Range vary from 11,000 ft to over 14,000 ft. - This particular cloud formation commonly known as an Anvil Thunderhead due to its shape, is technically known as a cumulonimbus cloud and capable of reaching a height of 75,000 ft.
