This image was taken at Sanctuary Lakes in Melbourne, Australia.

Taken around 3pm

Lighting

Sunny day gave me sufficient light for the high shutter speed used.

Equipment

Nikon D200 with Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens. A great older lens from Nikon

Inspiration

I was initially lining up the lower bird to capture it taking off when this argument broke out.

Editing

Not a lot of post production with this one apart from straightenng the horizon

In my camera bag

Normally use the Canon 5D mk3 & Canon 7D with Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS + EF 16-35mm f2.8 L + EF 300mm f2.8 L + EF 24-105 mm f4.0 L IS

Feedback

Aperture priority is a fav mode for shooting birds. Iso 320 to 640 will give fast shutter at f4 - f5.6
