I was standing on the corner in dawntawn Pittsburgh with a friend and seen smoke I ran and grabbed my cameras. We ran down the street to photograph the fire and it was intense how people were right up in the middle of the way of police and firemen was amazed. I wanted to cover the story for a newspaper and for an online newswire as well to highlight these men and women who make up the first response teams and who put their lives on the line every time they go to work!!! These guys are climbing a 80-100 foot ladder with fire hoses in full gear.... Why I picked this photo to go up here.
