Usually a skittish fish I was able to get closer than normal to this porcupine fish as it was resting inside a clam shell. I was looking for macro subjects and decided instead of taking off the macro attachment to use it for a close up while also firing my strobes from the right hand side of the image. The resulting photograph yielded reflective details in the eye thanks to the angle of reflection and angle of the light from the strobe. The refection you can see is the waters surface details above me some 8-10 metres away.
