Location
I took this shot while fishing in Thailand there was a small tree behind my swim and i happen to see this bug coming and going in between catching exotic fish i was watching this bug it took me around half hour to get close as i was edging my way until i was only around a few inches while holding my breath!Time
it must have been around 10am.Lighting
it was all natural lighting.Equipment
My camera is a canon 5D mk3 and i used the 24-110 F4 L lens i'm lucky in that i have a great copy as it's very sharp.I now own the canon macro 100mm 2.4 L fantastic lens and recommended.Inspiration
Just seeing it flying around I've never seen anything like it and i still don't know what bug it is!Editing
All the processing was quite simple some sharping and a little adjustment to enhance the fantastic colours the only thing was having to crop a fair bit thats it.In my camera bag
I carry quite and array of lenses from wide angle's right up to 70-200mm telephoto all are L series it's worth paying a bit more for great glassFeedback
All I'd say is have patience and have a steady hand keep at it and you will get the shot you are after
