Thank you so much, this would be the entrance/drive way to the remains 17th Century Mansion known as Houghton House, Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Could you imagine having that as your view everytime you open the door :) and I have not been here for a long time but the remains have not changed in years and the house itself is meant to be haunted - Please see below ....
On the doorstep of Houghton House is Ampthill Park, several sightings of a knight on horseback were been reported here in the 1900?s. Soldiers who were stationed nearby have also reported seeing the knight galloping away from the cross memorial to the nearby stream and then vanishing into thin air.
