The photo was taken in my home. I am a self taught photographer, so every shoot is pretty much a new lesson for me.Time
It was a warm and sunny afternoon. I remember the planning and preparing for the shoot took hours. I did not use any natural light for this photo so the time of the day didn’t really matter. This was taken on September 4, 2014 at 15:44.Lighting
I wanted this image to look very professional. For this picture I used battery operated led lights under the fake ice cubes and rotatable spot lights from the ceiling.Equipment
This was shot on a NIKON D5300, with an 18-55mm f/3.5 lens. I used a tripod and a wireless remote control for the camera to keep the sharp edges and clear letters on the bottle.Inspiration
I wanted to shoot this subject for a long time. I love the shape of the Coca Cola bottles. This shape was first designed in 1915. So when I saw them in a shop I bought them immediately. Then I bought this high quality fake ice cubes, they look amazing. Then I thought something is missing - light under the fake ice cubes. So I placed battery operated led lights under the ice cubes to give a nice lighting from the bottom of the ice bucket.Editing
In this particular case I darkened the shadows and deepened the contrast to add depth. In my camera bag
I only have two lenses at the moment so they are always coming with me. I also have my spare battery, spare memory card, lens filters, lens cleaning cloth and business cards in my camera bag. I also include my camera rain cover if I taking photos outdoors.Feedback
I would recommend to move the light around as you shoot, instead of keeping it in one place. Try different angles and zoom in different areas.
