Location
This photo was taken on the Mississippi River by Dubuque Iowa. This was taken while out fishing for bass. My husband always says are you going to fish or take pictures. I choose to take the picture. The weather was foggy and The timing was right. There was a perfect reflection in the river and I took the picture. If I had waited a few minutes the elements would have changed.Time
Early morning 8:00 A.M.Lighting
Taking pictures in the fog. Can be very tricky. Again I use natural lighting.Equipment
My D5200 Nikon and While in the boat it is hand held.Inspiration
I feel in love with the moment. I saw the old barge post and the reflection in the river and the mist from the fog. I had to have the picture and forever have the moment.Editing
I use photo shop and with fog pictures adjustments work very well. They enhance the color of the water and give it a very natural feel.In my camera bag
Nikon D5200 and my two lens 18 to 55 and 55 to 200 and my tripod and my other camera Fujifilm 1800 series.Feedback
It took me many times to get the settings right and be able to take fog pictures and have them come out the way that I wanted them to be. Never give up. Always keep your passion for that perfect picture.
