this goes way beyond the technical execution of the image to having the creativity to envision it. A true Masterpiece!

Hello Samanta. I'm fascinated with your creative talent. Incredible perspective. Graceful and creative. I loved his composition, his light, his style. Congratulations!

Location
This photograph was taken at my home in Salt Rock. We have a large open sliding door which allows brilliant light to come through.Time
I took this photograph just after midday, which as most photographers know is a difficult time to shoot if you're outdoors, however being inside and also having the curtain up made it a lot easier. That didn't mean I was out of the woods for over exposure though! That being said, I did want a lot of light in the image. It was an overcast day and the sun had just broken through the clouds not long before so there was this white light with a slightly golden glow filling the room.Lighting
Well the lighting was very important with this image for what I was trying to create.I wanted it to have a slightly mystical feel. The idea was always to have a lot of light in the background to really accentuate the focal point being the Lily (My favourite flower of course!) and the dancer. I realise that technically the image may be slightly over exposed however this was exactly my intention with this image. I really love how the person dancing is half in a room however she's also half fading Into the light, it creates an almost whimpiscal feel, which wouldn't have been possible without the exposure. So sometimes forget the rules and just take the picture!Equipment
Of course I use Nikon! I used a D3100 for this image with a 18-55mm lense, of course this wouldn't have been possible without my trusty steed my tripod. I also used a neutral density filter just to help reduce the light at the bottom of the image.Inspiration
Well the age of the selfies is appon us! So I wanted to do something different and creative that tells a story at the same time. I love ballet and did it when I was younger and my favourite flower is the Lily so this is the ultimate selfie for me.Editing
Yes I did do some post editing. I cropped the image slightly to cut out the vase the flower was in, and I sharpened the image too. I also added a gradient filter to the left side to create more contrast with the the light on the right. In my camera bag
In my bag I carry my camera with its 18-55m lense then I take a macro with me everywhere I go, I also take my 55-200mm along. Then of course the lense cleaners, spare memory card, the hoods for the lenses and uv filters. And lip gloss, just incase!Feedback
I would say for anyone trying to achieve something similar, just make sure you plan well. Particularly if you plan to take this image as a selfie. Composition can be very difficult to achieve when you aren't looking through the viewfinder. Using the timer and burst modes will help allot. Unless you can call on a friend to help align you correctly with the flower. You'll want to use a fast shutter speed, depending on how long you can hold the pose! :)
