Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during my visit to the city of Nawabs, Lucknow. This is a historical monument called Bada Imambara. I am a self-taught photographer and I try to capture images that tell stories. For me, this picture is of the window to history (time travel).

Time

I don't remember the exact date but I do remember the time of the day when I clicked it, It was after 5 pm. the sun was about to set and I had lot to capture as this was not a leisure trip, it was business trip and I had managed to extract some time off to explore the historical city.

Lighting

I think during excess sunlight capturing this image would be difficult. I feel soft sunlight (yellowish) adds more character to the image.

Equipment

This image was captured from my point and shoot camera. easy to carry during business trips also. The camera model is DSC-HX20V.

Inspiration

I like historical places, because of n number of reasons but the top few reasons are, these places have seen several seasons over the centuries, they are witnesses of the past and these places are a crucial link to our historical evolution. I find walking in these places as walking in history and my observation of the place is my piece of history.

Editing

I don't think I have done any post-processing on this picture.

In my camera bag

Only my camera and tripod if I am on a leisure trip but generally only my camera(point and shoot) and charger.

Feedback

don't try to capture an award-winning picture, try to capture your moments and if what you have clicked connects to the masses it will be an award-winning picture.
