The colors. Walking around an abandoned building filled with graffiti made the perfect contrast for a composed dancer. The soft colors mixed with the bold, prime colors was a perfect match.Editing
Edited in LR4 using a preset by Pretty Presets in a matte finish.In my camera bag
Canon 7D with the 50mm 1.4 attached. I also carry around my 40mm pancake lens incase I need something lighter and smaller.Feedback
Aperture is key here. I set mine to the lowest it could go (1.4) to create the focus on the pointe of the slippers. I didn't want anything else in focus yet I wanted the colors to pop and still see the full frame of the dancer. Also, while in manual I was able to control the shutter speed so I could control how the light turned out.
