Location
I took this photo in Zelenci, the spring of river Sava, in north west part of Slovenia. Zelenci is located in Julian Alps, near Kranjska Gora. The mountain photographed is Jaloves, 6th highest peak in Slovenia (2645 m).Time
It was 2 pm, it was the warmest moment of the day, the temperature was slightly over 0 degrees.Lighting
All I can say is that I regret not having a nice golden light of the afternoon, but still had a few kilometers to walk to the closest town.Equipment

The Zelenci spring is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been too. The small lake with crystal-clear water, the mountains, it all looks stunning regardless of the season. That day I was there for the first time and I could not believe my eyes. I was looking mostly for nice landscape shots, did a panorama that later won me a moment of fame ;) Anyway, I saw in the distance that the peaks of the mountains started to "sweat" and I could not miss that moment.Editing

Go for a nice trip to the mountains on a winter sunny day and enjoy the views. Find a place, from which you can see the peaks and maybe the closer surroundings will also be interesting. Plan your trip well (I use google earth in 3D to preview the landscapes before the shooting). Don't be afraid of the cold, it usually takes a bit of walking off the path in the snow to find the best quiet spots for enjoying the nature & photography.
