This photo was shot in Bird Rock Beach located in beautiful La Jolla, California. I was recently stationed there and was fortunate enough to venture when I wasn't on the ship. In this image I wanted to show the bruit force of the ocean as each wave crashed against the rocks. My goal was to also show you the dark clouds rolling in while the sun was setting. It was forecasted to rain that evening and looking back in this image reminds me just how perfect that day was and how bad it poured that night. You just never know what Nature is gonna give you but I'm happy to not only have been there to witness such beauty but to have an image I can look at in the future to simply remind me is truly an inspiration. -- Photographed by Ro Ducay •
