My wife and I decided to drive to the Mojave National Preserve to photograph the Super Moon. An accident on I-15 South caused a huge back up and delayed us getting to the location in time so we decided to drive down to an area we normally park and relax. A storm was building to the West and we saw this cloud starting to build quickly from a distance. Normally we leave when chance of a storm because of flooding but when the cloud started charging up and lightning started we knew I had potential for a nice show. This is the 1st time I attempted to shoot lightning so I set up my tripod and with a remote shutter started shooting.Editing

A tripod and camera on bulb mode with focus on infinity. I started the exposure and stopped it after I thought there was a decent strike during the exposure.
