Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the models house which we use as a studio for the day.

Time

We started around 10am and by the time this image was taken it was about 4pm so the sun light played a big part in the image

Lighting

All natural light. Position of the sun was just right casting a perfect shadow

Equipment

Sony a37 so a basic entry level camera with the standard 18-55mm lens. Camera was handheld

Inspiration

I have a great fondness for fetish and exotic photography and just the use of ropes and the patterns that can be created just amaze me and it is something that I have fallen in love with trying to capture

Editing

At the time I used a basic IPad app and I still do use it is a mixture between snapseed and facetune. Only some adjustments to the contrast was used and some blemishes were removed

In my camera bag

My bag contains 2 Sony cameras a37 and a200, 2 speed flashes, 18-55mm, 70-300mm lens, wireless triggers, flash defuser, spare battery's, tripod and a network with WiFi access

Feedback

If an image like this it's all about the people that you work with having the knowledge of what's needed and the skills to carry out the set up before hand as well as during. To be able to wait for the natural ligthing to be right. Don't be scared to play around with the settings on your camera think outside of the Normal rules that you are taught and most important have fun
