Taken from a roadside, local campground in Monticello, Utah, this photograph captures Abajo peak in the early morning hours, immediately after day break. Certainly, finding this sight before me as I emerged from my tent after a day long drive the day before allowed me to truly appreciate the scale, as well a grandeur, of the landscape around me. Despite the frigid morning cold, I found myself entranced by the site for the better part of half an hour.
