At the height of summer, after climbing around the hills for a hour or so, to sit in the cool grass by the shadows of the pines was sheer bliss!

Location
Just inside the top edge of our pine trees on the top ridge.Time
Late afternoon - probably 4.30 to 5pm. Mid SummerLighting
It was quite dark when I took the photo, I was disappointed when I looked on the viewing screen. I tried several times .. Back at home on the computer with editing it came to life :)Equipment
FinePix s8000fd,f 4.5,ISO 400. No flash. No tripod. Leaned hard into a tree to hold steady.Inspiration
It felt wonderful in the shade - the air so cool and the grass was soft and damp. I sat down, my back against a tree enjoying the moment, it had been a hard climb up the hill :) Then I tried to capture what I felt...Editing
Mostly just lightening and color balance to bring the end scene more clear, as I thought it showed the heat outside of this haven ..In my camera bag
At this time my just camera as I was mainly just hiking.Feedback
Be prepared, have your camera all the time - you never know when the right time happens. A tripod is great to get a good steady shot but a tree or a post, even sitting on the ground and using a 3 point - elbows on knees and 2 hand grip for a wide aperture shot(wide for more light - better clarity for cropping)and try and capture what you feel.
