I took this photo in my back yard when I was living in Mableton, Georgia. The same group of butterflies always frequented a large gathering of wild flowers in the yard, and I was fortunate enough to capture this particular butterfly in great detail.Time
I probably took this shot somewhere between mid-afternoon and early evening.Lighting
I love natural lighting. When I took this photo, it was a gorgeous sunny day and nature provided all the light necessary to make the shot turn out as I wanted.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3200 for this shot. No flash was necessary because I had beautiful natural sunlight. This was a hand-held shot; I had to chase the butterfly's movements, so a tripod would've been nearly impossible to use.Inspiration
The combination of natural sunlight and the beautiful color of the butterfly made this a shot I just had to take!Editing
Yes. I used Photoshop to enrich the colors of the photo. In my camera bag
I have two cameras: a Nikon D3200 and a D7500. I use a Nikon Speedlight SB-700 when I need flash.Feedback
Be patient. Behind any great photo is a photgrapher who was patient enough to wait for the perfect shot!
