You can erase the glow through camera raw, i think it would make it overall more appealing and realistic..

Thank you for your comments. This is just one photo of a series, all of which I chose to edit in this particular and surreal way. I wasn't my intention for the photo to be realistic. If this was a contest being judged on technical proficiency I would have chosen another photo.
