1848 bronze statue in the romantic Parc of Pena in Sintra, Portugal, by Ernesto Rusconi. Possibly representing the King D. Fernando II guarding the parc he created on top of the Hills of the Moon, around the Palace of Pena. This statue stays on top of a huge boulder massif and looks to the palace while holding a spear and a shield, in a warrior costume. Because of its dimension and appearance, it is also known as The Warrior or The Giant. There is no access to the foot of this statue, only rock climbing and the space around it on top of the boulder is diminute.
