An experiment done from the back porch of my house here in Herriman, Utah. Herriman is a suburb of Salt Lake City that is not nearly far enough away from the "big" city to avoid a lot of light pollution. I wanted to try an experiment with higher ISO and lower shutter speed to see how that affected the image, essentially taking advantage of the strength of digital cameras which do far better recovering exposures with images over rather than under exposed (when shooting RAW). This one worked out much better than previous attempts at lower ISO settings and longer shutter speeds.
